Kerry FrancksenDepartment of Performance and Digital ArtsSenior Lecturer of Dance![]() Contact Details: Kerry Francksen is Senior Lecturer in Dance. She teaches across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in dance and contributes to The Institute of Creative Technologies Masters programme. Kerry has successfully received funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council as well as receiving independent commissions. She has worked professionally as a dancer and choreographer, making installation, live performance and works for camera. She has toured live work in Britain and made video dance that has been screened internationally. Kerry has an MA in dance video installation and her key teaching and research interests deal with issues relating to the moving body on screen, new technologies in performance and choreographic and creative process. Current research has been supported through the Centre for Excellence in Performance Arts and The Institute of Creative Technologies. She continues to be actively engaged in making performance work using new and interactive technologies. |
