Areas of Research Interest:

1. Hospital Reconfiguration
Factors underpinning moves to reconfigure hospital services, particularly the clinical case for reconfiguration: the engagement of the public in processes of recofiguration and public campaigning.

2. Public/private partnerships
The private finance initiative in health care;  Independent Sector Treatment Centres; NHS funded/ privately provided care; the implications of the use of markets in health care.. 

3. Health service reform,
Especially alternative approaches to reform including democratisation of the health service; progressive forms of funding.
