The Course is highly relevant to the discovery of 21st century medicines.  It is an emerging area that links Science with Technology and contributes to the design, delivery and approval of new therapeutic drugs, the development of diagnostic agents for medical tests, and the beginnings of gene therapy for correcting the medical symptoms of hereditary and acquired diseases.  There will be opportunities of understanding some of these concepts through the eyes of Business and application of simple Computational Tools.
