General

This Master’s programme in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology is a 12-month full-time or a 24-month part-time course starting in September.  It is suitable for

• Graduates or
• Scientists who are already trained

in areas of biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, molecular biology, pharmacy, chemistry, medicine or physics but wish to be initiated in the sophisticated protocols involved in the process of discovery of 21st century pharmaceuticals.

The course is inter-disciplinary and combines three important aspects:

1. DiscoveryProduction Processes of new Medicines(taught by the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, HLS) and
2. Bioinformatics (taught by the Faculty of Technology Computing Sciences and Engineering & HLS) with
3. Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Intellectual Property(taught by the Faculty of Business and Law)
