LECTURES AND SEMINARS
Professorial Lecture Series presents:

David Dernie: Space, Movement and Time

David Dernie, Head of Leicester School of Architecture at DMU, takes a fresh look at contemporary architectural design: what have we learned about the possibilities and limitations of building form in the digital age? How has digital production changed the way we imagine space and how has technology affected our understanding of architecture itself?

The lecture will move from themes that connect architecture and the body to architecture and its more collective responsibilities. The argument will oscillate between individual experience of space to themes that drive urban development. It will be argued that time, change and ultimately movement emerges as a key theme in future architectural design.
