Student car parking information
Within core university working hours, 7.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, car parking spaces are only available for students who have a disability.
Disabled students who are Blue Badge holders can apply for a permit to park in the designated disabled parking bays on campus; these will be available free of charge. Please see the link on the right-hand-side for an application form.
Students who have temporarily mobility issues should follow the procedure outlined in the Parking Policy to apply for a DMU Temporary Disabled Parking Permit. There is no charge for a temporary disabled permit.
All permits issued allow the holder to ‘hunt-for-a-space’, no spaces are guaranteed.
All members of the university – staff and students – (whether or not they are permit holders) may use the Main Car Park free of charge outside the Core Hours of 7.30 am – 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, subject to availability. These users must have a validated ID card in order to access the car park. Cards can be validated at the Security Office.
Any cars without a valid permit left on the car park within core hours are liable to a parking charge of £80 (reducing to £40 if paid within 14 days).
