Andy Brown - Mental Health Inclusion Manager
Andy studied at Northampton University, where he qualified as a Mental Health Nurse, before he came to DMU to be the Mental Health Inclusion Team Manager; he worked in the NHS, where he spent 7 years working within Early Intervention in Psychosis.
Andy has been in post since 2013, and really enjoys the diversity and variety, the fact that no two days are the same at DMU.
Andy’s favourite thing about DMU is how fast paced it is and the fact that the university is always moving forward and looking at positive changes for students.
In his time away from DMU, Andy loves spending time with his children as well as trying to play football with friends at least once a week. When he’s not running around a football pitch, Andy likes to unwind by watching Blue Planet ll – because he really enjoys wildlife documentaries.
Andy’s top tip for good mental health is to practice asking for a little bit of help as often as you can.
