Based on her own experience as a 'student parent', Studying As A Parent: A Handbook for Success, contains practical information and tips, for how to juggle commitments to support available and suggestions for future directions after study.

Helen says, "The handbook is also designed to reassure student parents that they are not alone. And throughout the book you will hear the voices of other students, describing the joys and delights of what works well, as well as cautioning you to try and avoid what doesn't work so well."
