Student Administrative Support
The Student Administrative Support Division (SASD) is responsible for a large number of student-based processes. Our main areas of activity are:
Student finance – advice on tuition fees and payment plans, student loans and other support packages. For information on fees and funding, please visit DMU's undergraduate and postgraduate finance pages.
Student correspondence – we provide letters for verification of student status and enrolment, opening bank accounts, local education authorities and the Student Loan Company.
Student ID cards and Council Tax certificates – we deal with a large number of enquiries from students, but more specifically the Enquiry Office handles letter requests and the issue of Council Tax certificates and student ID cards.
Examinations – we organise all of De Montfort University's official written examinations in Leicester and at partner colleges. This includes the scheduling of examinations, invigilation arrangements and the provision of individual examination arrangements for students requiring extra support.
Academic awards – we are responsible for the conferment of student academic awards, graduation ceremonies and provision of replacement certificates.
Student records – including reference requests, confirmation of award letters and transcripts.
SASD is based in the Student Gateway, Gateway House. The enquiry desk is open Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
