Student Administrative Support

The Student Administrative Support Division (SASD) is responsible for a large number of student-based processes. Our main areas of activity are: 

Student finance – advice on tuition fees and payment plans, student loans and other support packages. For information on fees and funding, please visit DMU's undergraduate and postgraduate finance pages.

Student correspondence – we provide letters for verification of student status and enrolment, opening bank accounts, local education authorities and the Student Loan Company.

Student ID cards and Council Tax certificates – we deal with a large number of enquiries from students, but more specifically the Enquiry Office handles letter requests and the issue of Council Tax certificates| and student ID cards|.

Examinations – we organise all of De Montfort University's official written examinations| in Leicester and at partner colleges. This includes the scheduling of examinations, invigilation arrangements and the provision of individual examination arrangements for students requiring extra support.

Academic awards – we are responsible for the conferment of student academic awards|, graduation ceremonies and provision of replacement certificates|.

Student records – including reference requests, confirmation of award letters and transcripts|

SASD is based in the Student Gateway, Gateway House. The enquiry desk is open Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
