Library services
The Kimberlin Library| is open 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday during term time, so you can study when it suits you. There is also a specialist law library in the Hugh Aston Building.
We have a dedicated librarian for each subject area, and enquiry points and drop-in sessions mean you can get the help you need. You can also use the library's online reading lists| and access online databases and journals though Athens|.
Our three learning zones provide space for group and individual work, have workstations with power supplies for laptops, plus syndicate rooms with interactive whiteboards, DVD and video facilities. Rehearse presentations or work in privacy, the choice is yours!
The library is not only a study resource, you can also improve your academic practice, writing development and professional skills through the Centre for Learning and Study Support|. And if you need some support with your maths skills, the Maths Learning Centre| hold drop-in sessions for you.
IT and Media Services
The MyDMU student portal is your lifeline at university. It provides personalised information about your course and university life. Through MyDMU you can connect to the Blackboard e-learning system|, your email, get your grades, see your printer credits, your timetable, and much more.
We look after a university-wide wireless network providing 5,000 users with connection to the university network. Just scan for the DMU Wireless network and use the same details you use for MyDMU. You can also connect to our major systems from anywhere through the internet.
We have special offers available to all DMU students purchasing their own equipment while our IT shop has a range of items from storage devices to printer cartridges.
