Two De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) students have a unique opportunity to work as Student Ambassadors for the world renowned Philharmonia Orchestra.
In December 2016, DMU signed a partnership with the London based Orchestra and for the second consecutive year will provide this exciting initiative for DMU students.
The Orchestra’s home is Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall where it presents over 50 performances each year. It also has six other residences across the UK- including Leicester.
Performing seven concerts in a year at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall, DMU is the Orchestra’s Principal Partner in the city.
The Philharmonia’s Student Ambassador Programme connects DMU students with the Orchestra’s management team.
The ambassadors will promote the Orchestra’s concerts and student offer on campus and in exchange receive a welcome pack, complimentary tickets, access to rehearsals, personal briefings with senior staff and invitations to function events at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall.

“The Orchestra benefits from the energy, ideas and enthusiasm of students, while we aim to share learning and insights from inside one of the world’s greatest Orchestras.”
