"The Frontrunner Placement Scheme has been a great experience from start to finish, and I would recommend it to anyone seeking to gain useful, practical experience within a course-related, work environment and develop important skills that can put you a step ahead of others after graduation. Be it building communication skills through presentations to staff members, improving professionalism in an office environment, or getting used to working towards objectives and goals whilst managing your time, the Frontrunner scheme holds something for everyone. I have recently secured a graduate scheme in London, and the Frontrunner Placement was a great talking point, with the interviewers taking a keen interest in my work for DMU. Not only does this show that you are motivated enough to work alongside your degree, but provides an ability to demonstrate what you have learnt and how that knowledge can be applied to your future career."

“Since graduating from DMU in July 2012, I’ve managed to get myself a permanent job and I really believe that my Frontrunners placement helped me massively to achieve this. Everything from filling out the application form, to working in a team, to coping under pressure, to implementing new ideas, every little part of Frontrunners has proved useful for me when applying and eventually securing a job after graduation. Plus, it’s a great talking point in interviews and gives you something to draw examples from, especially during competency-based interviews where employers want to hear about very specific examples.”
