Do you want to develop your graduate employability, gain new skills, experience what it's like to work within a large organisation and get paid?
If that's a yes and you are a current DMU student, you can apply for a variety of Frontrunner internships to develop and gain a whole host of transferable skills.
Applications for Frontrunner Internships are currently closed. We will provide further information later in the year about when the next round of Internships will be available. Keep checking these pages and MyGateway for up to date information. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any queries about the scheme.
The paid internships offer on-the-job training and are a meaningful way to improve your graduate employability. You will be working on real tasks, with current DMU employees.
What kinds of internships does Frontrunners offer?
The majority of internships are based within DMU. They vary from administration roles and social media work to Vice-Chancellor office support and project work within faculties and DMU's professional services departments, as well as some lab-based opportunites.
How long do they last?
The length of the internship depends on the role and duties. Internships will be either Three, Six or Nine months long.
The actual hours differ from internship to internship but most are limited to a maximum 10 per week during term time and 16 hours per week during holiday periods.
Please note that you must remain a student at DMU for the length of a Frontrunner internship in order to be eligible to apply or to remain on a Frontrunner internship if appointed.
Do I get paid?
Yes. Payments are on a monthly basis and are paid directly into your bank account.
