While we have a standard working week, there are a number of different options to allow you to fit your work around your life.
Flexible working policy
Many DMU staff take advantage of our flexible working policy, allowing you to work longer days in order to take a day off every two weeks, or have different start and finish times if you have childcare or other responsibilities.
You can take up to three days paid leave in order to take part in DMU-related volunteering (for example, as part of the DMU Square Mile project).
We are committed to ensuring you are able to keep a good work-life balance. We offer a generous maternity leave/ adoption leave package, allowing parents to take up to 52 weeks off (this can be split between two partners in accordance with governmental guidelines). We also offer up to two weeks Paternity Leave.
We understand that you may need to take time off to care for your child, so therefore give you the option to claim up to four weeks unpaid parental leave per year.
