All part-time and temporary roles at DMU are handled by Unitemps, a national franchise that allows you to recruit students into temporary and part-time roles.
We are sharing the Leicester Unitemps franchise with the University of Leicester, the first time that two universities have partnered in this way.
The Unitemps scheme is a move away from external providers of temporary staff and casual contracts, and will save the university at least £100,000 per year. It will also provide a service to local businesses, placing students into relevant jobs, while enhancing the students' employability and allowing them to gain essential workplace experience.
Any profits made from the Unitemps scheme will be directly reinvested into developing student employability and campus facilities.
Unitemps will not replace DMU Works, which will advertise Unitemps part-time opportunities as well as Frontrunner placements and graduate jobs for DMU students and alumni.
How does it work?
Students will register online and will then be able to apply for jobs as they arise. We will also be featuring top jobs on the new student pages.
Heads of departments will be asked to identify people who will become hiring managers, and be authorised to make a Unitemps booking. They will then be set up on the system by the Unitemps team.
