Shared Parental Leave Policy
The university wishes to support all employees in managing their work, family and other non-work commitments by offering progressive and flexible family-friendly policies to working parents irrespective of their sex or sexual orientation.
This policy has been developed to both support and further these objectives by giving working parents greater flexibility to decide how they want to share caring responsibilities for their child in the first year following birth or adoption.
The Shared Parental Leave Policy applies in respect of babies due on or after 5 April 2015 or for children placed for adoption on or after that date.
