You can join (at your own expense) the British Universities Private Medical Insurance Plan. Pre-existing medical conditions will be excluded from benefit for the first two years (unless you’ve been with us for less than 30 days).
Cholesterol tests, blood pressure, resting pulse rate, fat analysis/body mass index, lung function tests, allergy and dermatitis checks, audiometry and general health discussions are all available, free of charge, from our Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department.

The Staff Social Committee (SCC) is run by a group of staff from across the university, to enhance the social environment for staff at DMU and allow them to get involved in a range of activities and events with colleagues.
