Staff ID Cards
Members of University staff are required at all times to wear a University Identity Card which serves as a library issue card and building access card in some areas.
In order to obtain an Identity Card you should EITHER:
1. Report to the Estates Maintenance Building (Monday to Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm) once you have commenced employment, in order to have a digital photograph taken for this card. If you work outside of normal office hours, as soon as possible contact the Estates Maintenance Building Reception, on (0116) 250 6690 to arrange a time for you to have a digital photograph taken for this card. Your Line Manager will have completed and signed a Staff Identity Card Request form (304 kb) which you will need to take with you to confirm the details of the access your card will allow.
2. Email a digital photograph of yourself (size and style conforming to passport regulations) for use on the card to email@example.com then report to the Estates Maintenance Building as above.
Casual staff should be supplied with a temporary card by their Line Manager.
Existing Staff (change in contract)
Please hand a Staff Change to Access Rights Request form (105 kb) to your Line Manager to complete and sign. Then take the form and your current identity card to the Estates Maintenance Building so that your records can be adjusted to reflect your new contract and access required.
If you have lost or damaged your card, please report to the Estates Maintenance Building with a Staff Identity Request form. (304 kb) The first replacement card will be free but a small fee will be charged thereafter.
