From September 2016 the university will again be offering DMU staff the opportunity to apply for a season ticket for the city park and ride services FREE OF CHARGE.
Each ticket will be valid until the end of August 2017 for DMU business only - including commuting to and from work - on any of the three park and ride services operating from Meynell’s Gorse, Enderby and Birstall.
Application forms are available here; this offer is open to all permanent DMU staff and temporary staff with contracts until at least the end of August 2017.
Any DMU 2016/17 parking permit holders who wish to apply MUST return their permit prior to being issued with a ticket; no staff member will be able to hold a DMU parking permit and a park and ride annual ticket at the same time – this includes pay and display permits.
Other terms and conditions will apply; please see the application form for details.
Feedback from existing park and ride permit holders has been excellent and with the Enderby and Meynell’s Gorse services stopping close to DMU and the Birstall service stopping in the city centre just a short walk away, this deal offers a great opportunity for staff members to choose a more sustainable form of transport to work.
Further information on the Leicester City Park and Ride sites can be found on their website at www.quicksilverbus.co.uk.
Further information on other initiatives provided to DMU members via the DMU Travel Plan can be found at www.dmu.ac.uk/transport.
