Working with students and graduates

De Montfort University (DMU) students and graduates have real-world skills that add great value to a wide range of industries.

Our courses are designed to increase employability and encourage students to develop transferable skills relevant to your business.

DMU is committed to preparing its students for the world of work, and in turn, providing the workforce economy with educated, practical and relevant graduates.

Our courses are designed to be mutually beneficial to the employer and the student, and our placement students| are capable of undertaking a real role within your company, with no long-term overheads.

Utilise our students' expertise

Our Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP)| provides a suitable graduate, backed by academic support,  to undertake a project within your company for up to three years. You will receive a contribution to costs as part of this government scheme and, while the graduate you employ gains valuable experience, your business could see an average increase of £220,000 in profits.

Our Student Services Department also offers a recruitment service, DMU Works, where you can find temporary staff for hire, plus the opportunity to participate in careers fairs, your chance to meet our students and graduates face-to-face, and recruit the best of the East Midlands' graduate talent.

You can also talk to student services staff about coming onto campus to showcase your firm to our students|

Please contact us if you would like further information about any of the above services.
