Cyber Security   

DMU’s Cyber Security Centre is currently working on an enhanced KTP with Airbus Group to develop new digital forensic capability to secure critical national infrastructure.

East Midlands Housing Group

Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development

DMU is working with East Midlands Housing Group on research into the use of domestic energy technologies to enable the company to better support its tenants and help reduce fuel poverty.

Speed Plastics

Design

DMU are currently collaborating with Chesterfield–based SME Speed Plastics, on a KTP project that will help revolutionise the company’s capabilities in product design, innovation, and research and development.

McCue International

Design

The KTP between DMU and McCue International has helped embed sustainability into its product design process and enabled the company to move into new markets, despite challenging economic circumstances.

Curvy Kate

Fashion

DMU’s 100th KTP with Curvy Kate has been hugely successful with the project supporting Curvy Kate’s growth into new brands and new markets through improved technical expertise.

4G Design Ltd

Design

The KTP project between 4G Design and DMU is part of a long term collaboration which has embedded a culture of innovative, sustainable design supported by robust data. This has allowed the company to market itself as a credible alternative to larger suppliers and has resulted in increased profits.

Association of Public Service Excellence (APSE)

Public Policy

DMU’s collaboration with APSE through the KTP scheme was graded outstanding by Innovate UK, and allowed the organisation to reposition itself successfully for a significantly changed operating environment in local government following the 2010 spending review.

High Speed Sustainable Manufacturing Institute

Computing Science and Engineering Technology

DMU’s KTP with HSSMI developed a virtual engineering software product which will provide the company with a unique means of entering a new market sector and of raising the profile of their brand.

Intamac

Engineering and Technology

A KTP collaboration between DMU and Intamac enabled the company to bring their embedded systems capability in-house which has resulted in significant new opportunities for Intamac through new partnerships and improved business modelling.

Nottingham Scientific

Computing Science and Engineering Technology

The partnership between DMU and Nottingham Scientific was underpinned by a hugely successful KTP project which led to the company receiving a Lord Stafford Award. The project helped the company develop the capability to manufacture its own hardware which has resulted in the launch of several highly innovative new products.

Accordial Manufacturing

Product Design

A KTP project with DMU enabled Accordial Manufacturing to bring the capability to design and develop their own products in-house. This enabled them to separate from their parent company and trade successfully as an independent company.

Phoenix Digital Arts Centre

Institute of Creative Technologies

DMU’s KTP with Leicester’s Phoenix Arts Centre resulted in a high quality digital arts programme, underpinned by in depth research and a robust business plan, and has enabled Phoenix to position itself as a leading international arts centre.

Go MAD Thinking

Computing

The KTP between Go MAD Thinking and DMU formed part of the company’s ambitious business transformation strategy and resulted in an expansion of the current product range to include a truly interactive, online, personalised coaching product.

Scarborough and North East Yorkshire NHS Trust

Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development

DMU’s partnership with the Scarborough and North East Yorkshire NHS Trust enabled the Trust to develop a structured approach to energy and carbon management and is expected to help them save over £40,000 per year as well as reducing carbon emissions by almost 200 tonnes.
