Continuing professional development
Our continuing professional development courses cover a wide range of sectors and will expand your professional skills.
All courses are designed to be undertaken while working full-time.
Courses at levels four to six can be taken as individual modules, leading to a general University Certificate in Professional Development (UCPD). Alternatively, we offer full 60 credit courses at levels six and seven in specific expertise. Level seven courses can lead to a Postgraduate Certificate in Work-Based Learning (PG Cert).
A 60 credit UCPD can count towards a full undergraduate degree (an undergraduate degree is 360 credits), or is recognised on its own as a professional qualification. Typically an undergraduate module is worth 10, 15 or 20 credits and a postgraduate module is worth 15 or 30 credits.
Below are details of the courses we offer. Some are open to individuals, while others are specifically for groups of employees.
