Campus Enterprise Opportunities offers a variety of business start-up support. 

Whether you are a student, staff member or graduate CEO can lead you through the early stages of your business with one-to-one support and when you are established we can help you apply for start-up bursaries, put together a business plan, keep track of your businesses finances, provide marketing advice and a whole lot more.

General start-up surgery

Need help with your idea to develop it further? 

Then drop into the start-up surgery at Student Services, Gateway House.

No matter what your query, the surgery can help you with all aspects of the
start-up process, such as:

• Ensuring your business idea is fully researched
• Help you produce a quality business plan
• Funding advice and guidance

Opening times

The surgery is open on the following days: 

Tuesday and Thursday 2-3pm 

There is no need to book - just drop in.

Legal advice surgery

A free advice surgery is available, provided by regional law firm Smith Partnership. 

A commercial lawyer will be on hand at the surgery to provide preliminary advice on legal issues associated with the development of your business idea.

The legal advice surgery will take place on campus at the Innovation Centre on the following dates: 

• Wednesday 25 January - 2-4.30pm
• Wednesday 29 February - 2-4.30pm
• Wednesday 28 March - 2-4.30pm
• Wednesday 25 April - 2-4.30pm
• Wednesday 30 April - 2-4.30pm

To ensure you get a 30 minute slot at the legal surgery, please book your place by completing the online booking form. 

When booking your slot please provide as much information as possible in regards to the nature of your query.
