Notice for the Printing and Supply of the Undergraduate Prospectus 2008 for De Montfort University

You are invited to apply to join a list of tenderers for the printing and supply of the De Montfort University Undergraduate Prospectuses 2008.

You will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Print run:  75,000 copies 
• Finished size:  260 mm x 210 mm
• Pagination: 
  Cover: 4 pp, 4 colour process throughout plus full matt lamination and up to 50% spot UV varnish on outer cover
  Text:  300pp, 4 colour process throughout
• Materials:
Cover:  300gsm silk recycled paper
Text:    100gsm silk recycled paper

• Perfect bound finish
• Provide the finished digital artwork on disk or via ISDN as Quark Xpress files with associated EPS and Tiff files
• Provide match print or equivalent colour digital proofs 
• Delivery of sealed cartons on pallets, 10 copies per carton and clearly labelled for delivery to three sites in the United Kingdom.

An outline of the project timetable is as follows:

Printer commission date:  Mid January 2007
Artwork available:   Late January 2007
Delivery date: First batch of 1000 copies by 23 February 2007
Remaining quantity by 1 March 2007

This is a strategic project of high value to the University and it is extremely important that the work undertaken is produced without sub-contracting.

Experience and facilities for Macintosh digital artwork, sheet-fed offset lithography plus web off set lithography of high quality academic and corporate literature is essential.
