Notice for the Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Enhanced Network Facilities

This procurement follows the restricted procedure as defined by the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 and has been advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The University wishes to enhance its network to improve the performance of the system for staff and students in the face of rising and new demands on the system 

In summary, the objectives of the project are to: 

a) facilitate new functionality: VoIP, Power over Ethernet, 802.1x authentication, 1 Gbps to the desktop and 10Gbps link to building core
b) improve the network traffic management facilities so that IT staff may 
c) improve network reliability 
d) meet rising demands on the network

The award criteria for this procurement will be:

1. Conformance to the specification of the University’s requirements
2. Suppliers’ capacities and capabilities to deliver their offers
3. Whole-life cost of offers.
