Phoenix Square

Phoenix Square, Leicester’s new hub for the latest technologies in film, digital arts and media, opened in November 2009. Based in the city’s new Cultural Quarter, the Phoenix Square venue combines the latest technology in film and visual entertainment with digital art, enterprise, research and education.

The site contains three cinema screens, a cafe and digital production facilities as well as office space for creative businesses and luxury apartments.

Created, in collaboration with De Montfort University (DMU), Phoenix Square has developed a unique partnership with the university. For DMU this means the most progressive developments in art and technology will be showcased in the DMU Cube: a unique exhibition space for new and interactive digital arts, and in turn, Phoenix Square will benefit from the latest research in media and related technologies.

For students and staff, there are discounted tickets available on production of a valid university student/staff card.
