Our postgraduate programmes fall into two distinct areas; design practice and design management. Both are defined by their multidisciplinary approach to design and recognise the importance of design practitioners and managers working together on a range of design activities.

Programmes are offered in MA Product Design, Interior Design and Design Innovation. Whilst Product and Interior Design offer the opportunity to extend students’ in-depth knowledge of a specific area, Design Innovation involves the study of a broader range of design subjects. Students will benefit from sharing multidisciplinary activities on all programmes and from the school’s multi-cultural approach to design.

MA Design Management focuses upon the management of design teams and design processes. With this emphasis it allows students to study brand management and service design with a view to taking a more ‘strategic’ view of the creative industries. MA Design Entrepreneurship complements Design Management and supports the creation of design-led companies.

All of our programmes benefit from leading facilities and a dedicated team of academics and technicians. Much of our postgraduate curricula are shaped by the research that our staff and students undertake and in particular through the school’s 20 PhD students who are researching a diverse range of design subjects.
