Quality Officer (Student Voice: Academic Quality Processes)


Supporting the integration of the student voice in quality assurance and enhancement processes in order to improve the student experience and student achievement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping to ensure that the student voice is appropriately represented within the systems managed by the Department of Academic Quality (DAQ)
  • Key departmental contact with De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU): building and maintaining a good relationship and providing support and guidance as appropriate
  • Operational lead for the national Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)
  • Supporting the operation of the internal programme level feedback survey
  • Liaising with faculties and central departments to support initiatives related to student feedback and representation
  • Secretary and full member of the Surveys Steering Group, secretary of the Student Charter Working Group, and Learning Support Working Group
  • DAQ representative at the Faculty of Business and Law Learning and Teaching Committee
  • Supporting the validation and periodic review processes including acting as servicing officer to periodic review events and leading student focus groups
