Schemes and regulations
The undergraduate and postgraduate schemes provide the framework and regulations within which De Montfort University's (DMU) undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes sit. The university additionally has a small number of level 3 programmes which have specific regulations.
The schemes outline the national qualification and credit frameworks adhered to, as well as providing information on requirements for programme structures, module credit sizes etc.
The regulations contain the rules on assessment, progression and award to students. The awards available for conferment can be found within the university ordinances.
The schemes and regulations are managed via an Academic Quality Committee (AQC) sub-committee: Taught Programmes Management Committee (TPMC).
Below are the university's academic regulations, along with a digest of regulatory changes and related guidance.
Further information about the scheme and regulations is provided below:

The two English credit consortia are useful sources of information about credit frameworks: Northern Universities Consortium (NUCCAT) and SEEC. DMU is a member of NUCCAT, which Sally Lloyd is the DMU liaison point for.
Please contact Sally Lloyd if you have any queries regarding the regulations.

The university has level 3 programmes delivered at partner institutions. For queries about these programmes and regulations please contact Matt Evans in the Academic Partnerships Unit.
