Class of 2016: Summer Graduations
Many of our Class of 2016 are about to start – or have started – exciting new careers, including fashion buying with a top high street brand and marketing with a communications giant. Others have been inspired to continue their education, while some stand out for their extra-curricular achievements at university.

Thousands of De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) students have graduated this summer. The exciting ceremonies took place at the university’s spectacular events centre, The Venue@DMU, with the celebrations continuing at a specially-created Graduation Village.
A giant marquee hosted receptions for graduating students, their families and guests. There was a bar, live music and seating, so visitors could watch a live stream of the ceremony.
There was also a series of “village boutiques”, including the DSU shop, and graduating students even had the chance to get their hair and make-up done.
Graduands could capture selfies and special memories of their big day at photo points in the village and we have a gallery of pictures from each ceremony on our Facebook page. The videos celebrating each faculty’s Class of 2016, first shown during the ceremonies, are also included below:

Your graduation is always going to be a big day, but for the three winners of DMU’s Ultimate Graduation prize it was even more special.
Erin Dwyer was picked as the winner of the contest, which asked students to send in a photo of themselves or their favourite DMU memory. Second prize went to Shivani Raja, while Luke Smith scooped third.
