Satisfied students give thumbs up to DMU business courses

Engaging lectures, high levels of support and emphasis on employability are making business students at De Montfort University Leicester (DMU) among the most satisfied in the country.

DMU's Accounting and Business Management, Business Management and Economics and Accounting and Finance courses ranked particularly highly for overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2016.

In addition, students on DMU's economics programmes (including Economics, Economics and Finance, Economics and Politics and Accounting and Economics) rated the teaching, assessment, personal development and overall satisfaction in the country's top 10.

Final-year Economics student James Molloy believes the results are down to the quality of teaching.

The 21-year-old said: "The course is perfectly balanced between classical economic studies and the exciting future of this subject area.

"The lecturers are fantastic! The staff make every effort to make lectures engaging while also relating the theory in books to the wider world. These and other factors contribute to students aiming for the best marks."
