Come on Leicester boys! DMU Gospel Choir makes some noise for LCFC

Come on Leicester boys! Football fans are going wild, wild, wild for the renditions of DMU’s Gospel Choir singing Leicester City’s famous football chants.

The choir – crowned University Gospel Choir of the Year – were invited by BBC Radio Leicester to sing LCFC superfan Lee Jobber their gospel-tinged versions of the chants more normally heard echoing around the King Power.

Superfan Lee, who bangs the drums at the KP to get the crowd behind the team, enlisted their help to teach fans the (censored) chants – and was well impressed with the choir’s performance.

“Wow!,” he said. “That was brilliant. What a great performance.”

The choir were at the King Power last weekend where they sang to fans going in, ahead of Leicester’s 1-0 win against Southampton.

You can listen to them here, or watch two clips of their performance below.
