De Montfort University (DMU) has opened the new Student Gateway on campus to provide a one-stop shop for all the help students need during their studies.

The Student Gateway in DMU's Gateway House next to the Campus Cente now provides an integrated reception for all student enquiries in a single location, so students can pop in for advice, information and support about;

  • Counselling, mental health and wellbeing
  • Jobs and careers
  • Enterprise and business start-ups
  • Disability support
  • Finance and welfare
  • International queries

Jo Cooke, Director of Student and Academic Services said: “The new Student Gateway is a result of eight months hard work to pull all our student services into one central hub.

“We’ve already had a few students who all seem really happy with the service and the fact they now have one place to go to ensure they are getting the most from their student experience.”

Vice-Chancellor, Dominic Shellard made a speech before cutting the official ribbon saying; “Without students we are nothing and without our staff we are nothing. This project, yet again, demonstrates our high quality staff and their commitment to offering the best to our students.”
