The recruitment process

Shortlisting

After the closing date all applications are submitted to the recruitment manager who will create a shortlist. They then complete the shortlisting process and forward the information to the Human Resources department to co-ordinate the interviews.

Interview and assessment process

If you are successfully shortlisted for interview, depending on the nature of the role, you may also be required to undertake a test or presentation. This may include simulated exercises (an administrative or technical test) and psychometric testing. 

The interview process will be in front of a panel of interviewers appropriate to the level of the post.

If the panel are unable to make a selection, after all interviews have been held, you may be called to attend a second interview.

Decision making process

Should you be successful your offer will be subject to satisfactory references and eligibility to work in the UK. All academic and senior posts will be subject to Vice-Chancellor approval.

Please note that any internal applicants who have been identified for re-deployment within De Montfort University will be given prior consideration if they meet the essential requirements for the post.
