Ben Browne

Role

Mr Ben Browne joined De Montfort University (DMU) in January 2010 as Director of People & Organisational Development.

Ben is responsible for: all aspects of organisational development and HR management, including employee relations, recruitment, well-being and HR administration; health and safety; staff development, including the Academic Professional Development Unit and Training and Development team; and equality and diversity.

Biography


Ben has held senior HR positions in further education, the National Health Service and local government.
 
Prior to joining DMU, Ben was Director of HR and Organisational Transformation for Nottingham City Council.
 
He has more than 18 years senior HR management experience, which has been almost exclusively in the public sector.
 
Ben has extensive experience in many areas of human resource management and development, including organisational development, equality and diversity and HR management.
 
Ben is a keen supporter of Nottingham Forest and of the West Indies cricket team.
