Graduation ceremonies January 2012

Thousands of students celebrated their graduation from DMU at Leicester's iconic Curve theatre.

The events, which marked the first time DMU has held ceremonies at this venue, truly showcased the quality and distinctiveness of our graduates.

The students heard inspirational speeches by Vice-Chancellor Dominic Shellard and the honorands, who included the Chairman of Benoy Architects Graham Cartledge and Mike Hannay, the Vice-President (Medicines Development) of AstraZeneca.

Reaction to the ceremonies was overwhelmingly positive, with ecstatic graduates and their proud families thronging the streets around the Curve and the university campus.
