The Venue@DMU - events and conference centre

The Venue@DMU is our events and conference centre which offers a large flexible hall space and two conference rooms. The centre hosts a number of university events such as our graduation and matriculation ceremonies, student welcome events and much more. It is also available to hire externally at selected times throughout the year and is an ideal space for a variety of functions such as meetings, exhibitions, award ceremonies, presentations and theatrical shows.

Based in the heart of Leicester, the centre has accessible links from two major motorways; bus stations and train stations.

We can offer bespoke packages to suit all needs. Our personalised service will ensure any event runs smoothly, allowing your delegates to concentrate on getting down to business.

Main Hall

The Venue@DMU offers a flexible hall space containing AV Projection, hi-tech lighting and sound equipment.

The hall can be used as either a single large space or it can be split into three soundproofed smaller halls, each with their own entrances.

Each of the hall spaces has built in tiered seating which can be expanded or retracted from the space as required. Other furniture which is used in the space is freestanding, allowing for a wide variety of layouts.

Conference rooms

The Venue@DMU offers two conference rooms which are an ideal setting for meetings and workshops.

Each conference room is fully air conditioned and contains state-of-the-art equipment to suit all meeting needs, including a fully integrated AV projection system, teleconferencing phone and flip charts.

The furniture in the conference rooms is freestanding and can be set out in a variety of layouts.

Upstairs breakout area

There is a comfortable breakout area outside the conference rooms which can be used for refreshments during meetings.
