Mark Coeckelbergh is Professor of Technology and Social Responsibility at De Montfort University, UK, and Professor of Philosophy of Media and Technology at University of Vienna, Austria. He is the current President of the Society for Philosophy and Technology.
His research focuses on philosophy of technology and ethics of new and emerging technologies, in particular robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).
He is also active in the area of policy advice regarding new technologies.
