Personal profile

Dr MingQi Fan is a research fellow in the school of Pharmacy. He gained his PhD degree in Life Sciences, University of Nottingham. Prior to joining the DMU, Dr Fan set up a biotech company, Genexpression Biosciences in P.R.China to develop the novel asparaginase against Leukaemia. Previously, he was employed as Research Fellow at Birmingham University and Nottingham University in UK.

He now is developing the novel cell transfection method by using Nano-technology; using yeast model to screen compounds against Parkinson’s Disease and anti-cancer drug development.
