Personal profile

Yan is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the De Montfort University. Prior to join the De Montfort University, he held Senior Lecturer and Lecturer positions at the University of Huddersfield. Yan’s research interests are focused on empirical corporate finance or corporate governance and in particular CEO/director networks, executive compensation and board structure. Yan has articles published in different international journals, such as the International Review of Financial Analysis, International Marketing Review, Corporate Governance, Investment Management and Financial Innovations. He has presented his research at a number of national and international academic conferences. He is also an ad-hoc reviewer for a number of academic journals. Yan has teaching experience on corporate finance, investment and portfolio management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Yan is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
