Personal profile

I received my PhD in 2009 from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, in the area of multicultural management. In my thesis I looked at the performance implications of the nationality and international experience diversity on top management teams (TMTs) and boards of directors. Both the upper echelons theory and the resource-based view of the firm served as the theoretical building blocks for my dissertation.

Prior to joining De Montfort University, I held academic positions at the University of St. Gallen and University of Exeter as a Research Fellow and at the Northumbria University as a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer, where I was teaching on the following modules: strategy/ strategic management, international business/management and business ethics.
