Frances Wright is a part time lecturer in the Department of Politics and Public Policy where she is responsible for a first year undergraduate module which provides students with an introduction to the study of Globalisation. She is a De Montfort Teacher Fellow has worked on the student’s experience of transition and adaptation to studying at university. Her first year teaching is informed by the research she has conducted over many years.
She also plays a small role in the De Montfort University Library team which provides maths student support for students across the university. She was the manager of this team until 2010. Her main research area here is maths phobia.
Currently her main academic interest is in the relationship between Globalisation, the politics of food and the current economic crisis.
