Mrs Debra Brown

Debra is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Law School’s Learning and Teaching Group.  She is a former solicitor, admitted in 1990, and was an Associate Partner with Shoosmiths solicitors in Northampton, specialising in banking, finance and intellectual property. She became a full-time lecturer in 2002 and teaches English and European Legal Contexts and Intellectual Property Law at undergraduate level. She is a winner of the Vice Chancellor’s Distinguished Teaching Award and in 2018 successfully led a DMU Global trip to Hong Kong with Louise Neilson.
