Personal profile

After graduating in 1984 Stuart Wright worked both in the retail design industry as well as hospitality. In 1992 he set up an Interior Design and Architectural Design partnership, mainly focusing on leisure design projects from small cafes to theme parks. By 2002 Stuart Wright’s long term interest in design education was forming a reality, working with overseas design students at Nottingham Trent University and with BA students at De Montfort University.

By 2008 a clear decision was made to commit to education. Stuart Wright developed into the role as Programme Leader for Fda Interior Design, BA Hons Interior Design and MDes Interior design alongside his teaching commitments.

Stuart Wright will be maintaining MDes Programme Leadership and his teaching commitments but will focus on enhancing employability and develop further employment opportunities not only for interior design students but for all students within the School of Design.
