Bringing you more International Jazz!

Renowned pianist Andrew McCormack brings his most ambitious project to date 'Graviton' to The Venue@DMU on Tuesday 13 March.

Embracing a variety of musical styles, ranging from jazz, to soul, to prog rock and hip hop, Graviton presents a blending of different musical genres which produces music full of dinamic energy and with a very contemporary edge.

The concert will start at 20:00. Standard tickets are £12.00 or £5.00 for DMU students and staff and can be purchased via Leicester Jazz House or on the door (in cash only).

Join the DMU Chamber Choir at 6 PM this Thursday!

For those commuters and people with little time on their hands who still enjoy a good concert and a good cup of coffee or tea, the DMU Chamber Choir will be hosting a Choral Fix at Six this Thursday 15th of March.

Come by Trinity House Chapel at 18:00 for an hour-long concert, with a programme treating you to music that is lighthearted and sublime, energetic and still, sacred and secular. The concert is completely free of charge and includes a complimentary hot beverage.

For more information on the Choral Fix at Six, check out the event.

Are you up for the DMU Summer Concert Challenge?

We're calling all singers and musicians to join our 2018 Summer Concert Challenge! The DMU Orchestra and DMU Chorus will team up once again this spring to perform an epic Summer Concert on Sunday June 10th.

We warmly invite all DMU students and staff members as well as local singers to join the Chorus in singing DMU's Graduation Anthem 'Zadok the Priest' by Handel and the monumental 'I was Glad' by Hubert Parry.

Musicians are invited to join our Orchestra with a programme of Handel's 'Zadok the Priest', Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 and the premiere of a new work by DMU student Ashley Simons.

Are you up for the challenge? Find more information on rehearsals and how to sign up here!
